WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR JANUARY 22ND MEETING:
1. We will be critiquing each others work. (A decision was made at the January 8th meeting that it will be in our best interest to email the group members what we anticipate having critiqued. This will give us quality reading and critiquing time at home before presenting our suggestions at group meeting.
If you are a new/present member and this is not a preferred action, feel free to bring a sample of your work and you can read and be critiqued depending on time allowance.
2. SHOW ME THE MONEY !
Are you curious as to what the various romance and YA publishers pay? Would you like to know who pays the TOP advances for the words that have, at times, bled onto the pages of your manuscript? Then come to our meeting and find out. You might be shocked at which publisher pays a 40,000 advance for a FIRST book …after you absorb that fact, there is another that pays 80,000 !!!

Hello and welcome to the Pen To Paper St. Charles Web Site.
The writers at Pen To Paper St. Charles are not only welcoming new members to join, we are adding an additional meeting time to further the convenience of attendance. Plus, the members are enjoying learning about an abundance of monthly topics and critiques and we want MORE opportunities for the same.
We welcome writers of all genre(erotica excluded) to attend our monthly meetings. Let us make 2015 the year for completing your writing project and becoming the best-seller who resides within you.
The first 2015 meeting was held on January 8th. We were so enthralled with Matthew’s story and critique that we ran out of time before any further critique’s were read. We decided right then and there…we need to meet twice a month! All members immediately agreed. We are dedicated writer’s who are learning new information and stirring the fires of creativity with every meeting.
